A lot of hiring still starts on the company career page
Many roles open first on the employer's ATS. LinkedIn gets a copy later, or never. That is a hiring habit, not a secret market.

LinkedIn is the default place to look. That does not mean roles are born there. Plenty of teams open the job on their own careers page first — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, and in Turkey, Peoplise or Hirex. Copying it to LinkedIn is a second task. Sometimes someone does it. Sometimes it lags a few days. Sometimes it never happens.
No need to dress this up as a hidden market. The ordinary version is dull: hiring lives in one system, the shop window is another. If you only watch the window, you miss the stockroom.
Why LinkedIn is late
A role gets approved. Someone opens a record in the ATS. Referrals and an old candidate pile are enough for a while. The recruiter postpones the LinkedIn copy because candidates are already coming in. Or the copy goes up, but Easy Apply is a second form, so the company would rather you use theirs.
On your side it looks like this: a backend seat appears on Greenhouse on Monday and as a boosted LinkedIn post on Thursday. In those three days an internal name can move first. It does not happen every time. When it does, it is channel order, not a conspiracy.
The other failure mode is a LinkedIn post with no matching careers-page listing. A repost, an agency leftover, a closed role still circulating. When you read the posting, watch where Apply actually goes. Employer form: cleaner trail. A third-party “quick apply”: go find the source first.
Kariyer.net and LinkedIn are not the same inventory
Turkey also has Kariyer.net. Some corporate teams fill that. Product companies lean on their own ATS. Youthall holds a different slice, more early-career and internships. All of them are job boards. None of them is the full set.
Refreshing one pane is not coverage. It is a habit. Habits are comfortable. They are incomplete.
I am not going to invent a percentage. There is no clean public cut that says “X% of Turkish tech roles never hit LinkedIn,” and faking one would not help you. The observation is enough: the same role, two sites, two dates, two titles, is normal. If you do not collapse duplicates, the market looks busier than it is. You are counting the same listing three times.
Save ATS boards as the fifteen companies you actually want, not as a morning tour of eighty. Greenhouse and Lever public boards usually live at boards.greenhouse.io/company or jobs.lever.co/company. Find them once, bookmark them. That does not replace a LinkedIn search. It holds the layer LinkedIn is late to.
What to do without becoming a full-time crawler
Nobody should tour 80 career pages every morning. People who try already burn out.
A smaller set holds:
- The careers pages or ATS boards of 10–15 companies you actually want
- LinkedIn queries by company and role, not by a generic title
- If you know someone inside, the “we are about to open something” sentence, which arrives before the post
- Youthall if you are early-career; not as a primary channel if you are not
Referrals are still the shortest path. That is not a trend, it is still true. If you are looking quietly, ask that person outside the office, the same way you would look without announcing it at work.
JobInbox follows this messy layer: company career systems, LinkedIn, Youthall, Coderspace, and similar sources. Coverage moves. It will not claim every open role. The point is not to live in one shop window.
